The Department of Civil Engineering and the Environment aims at excellence in the preparation, construction and graduation competencies and engineering capabilities. It aims to provide an outstanding environment for teaching and scientific research, Keeping pace with the times throughout proceedings at the national level and the academic world and through the development of curricula and the development of scientific and administrative staff and the creation of an active role by expanding the services provided to the community.

Mission :

The development of the scientific and academic for all cadres of the College of Engineering members ,administrative staff and students in accordance with the most important international quality standards in this area. Also,working on the development of curricula and study plans in line with the labor market needs of actual and follow-up of graduates, and to assist unemployment commensurate with their qualifications.
 

Goals :

1- Graduate qualified leaders specialized in Electrical Engineering (Communications, Electronics, Power and Control)and who can meet the needs of the labor market.
2 - Provide students with basic scientific knowledge and impart the skills necessary to perform the tasks assigned to them in the future.

-  Prepare our students to be competitive in the marketplace forgetting professional careers or continuing their higher education.

-  Achieve partnership with industry in the public and private sector.

-  Serve as a resource of computer engineering expertise at the local and regional levels.

 

 

Goals:

 

1.Teaching:

-  Foundation knowledge: Providing students with a comprehensive, solid foundation and high-quality knowledge in terms of physical sciences, mathematics, and computer principles and  technology,  and engineering analysis and design, that covers the basic as well as contemporary computer engineering aspects.

-  Theory and application knowledge: After establishing a foundation, our CED department program enhances the student’s understanding of theory and applications of computer engineering throughout courses designed to gain specific techniques and skills in the  computer engineering areas.  

-  Technical skills: to develop the basic skills and the practical plans necessary to implement laboratory and design projects. As well as the development of the capacity to formulate projects and problems and develop a practical plan to take advantage of technical knowledge and various skills.

2.Research:

Encouraging students for research in computer engineering and related interdisciplinary areas.

3.Preparation for Professional Career:

provide students with the required knowledge ,skills and experience to be competitive in the market place  for getting professional careers ,here are focus  on the problems that may arise in the practical environment life ,teamwork ,leadership ,integrity ,ethics …etc

provide sufficient breadth and depth experience the success of subsequent graduate and post graduate study.

1.    Graduates with sound knowledge and research foundations needed by the potential job market.
2.    Graduate equipped with fundamental skills necessary for success as industrial systems engineers in diverse environments including such skills as problem solving, communication, ethical and cultural awareness, and teamwork.
3.    Graduates prepared to and capable of pursuing advanced degrees in industrial systems engineering or     closely related fields oriented to serve national development by addressing pressing national and global contemporary issues.
