Details

    The Department Of Industrial Systems Engineering Started With A Few Staff Members, Offering An Intensive Five-Year Bachelor Degree Program. Currently, There Are 200 Students And 12 College Members. These Numbers Are Expected To Increase Up To 500 Students. The Undergraduate Degree Curriculum Provides A Wide Range Of Basic Knowledge In Applied Sciences Such As Mathematics, Physics, And Chemistry. This Is Followed By Strong Comprehensive And Balanced Departmental Requirements In The Different Fields Of Industrial Systems, Both In Classrooms And Laboratories. The Degree Requirements Also Includes A Wide Spectrum Of Selective Knowledge In Languages, Social Sciences, History, Management, Law And Many Other Fields. The Students Have Access To The Latest Computer Facilities And Software That Are Available In The Market, In Order To Stimulate Their Engineering Skills. In Addition To The Senior Project, The Students Are Assigned Independent Projects At An Appropriate Stage For Designing Systems And Solving Problems Related To Local Industries And Local Communities.

 The Total Credit Hour For Undergraduate For Graduation Is 163.

Moreover, The Department Offers Postgraduate Programs (MSc.) In Engineering Management And In Smart Systems Of Energy Management.

Teaching and Research Labs:

The Department Has The Following Well-Equipped Shared Laboratories With Other Departments:

1- Strength Of Materials Lab

2- Thermo Dynamics And Heat Transfer Lab.

3-Industrial Control Lab

4-Systems Modeling And Simulation  Lab.

5-Measurement And Instrumentation Systems Lab.

 Mission:

 To Graduate Competent Industrial Systems Engineers Who Fulfill Market Needs And Are Equipped With Industrial Systems Engineering Knowledge And Research And Fundamental Skills Capable Of Working In Diverse Environments And Able To Contribute To The National Sustainable Development Plans.

  Program Objectives:

 The Following Main Objectives Will Be Achieved By The Program:-

1.     Graduates With Sound Knowledge And Research Foundations Needed By The Potential Job Market.

2.     Graduate Equipped With Fundamental Skills Necessary For Success As Industrial Systems Engineers In Diverse Environments Including Such Skills As Problem Solving, Communication, Ethical And Cultural Awareness, And Teamwork.

3.     Graduates Prepared To And Capable Of Pursuing Advanced Degrees In Industrial Systems Engineering Or     Closely Related Fields Oriented To Serve National Development By Addressing Pressing National And Global Contemporary Issues.

4.     Graduates Who Demonstrate Leadership And Life-Long Learning Capacity For Continuous Improvement.
