The Department of Architecture hosted Eng. Sara Naseer and Eng. Hanin Abu Al-Haija on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Both engineers are from the University of Science and Technology to give a lecture to second-year design students, taught by Dr. Yumna Aldmour. The lecture covered various topics related to architectural design for people with disabilities. It included an introduction to the types of physical and mental disabilities and how to deal with design voids and environmental adaptation to achieve comprehensive accessibility. The lecture also showcased some experiments conducted during the Just-Able project, which aims to promote the rights of people with disabilities in participation and integration.
